2010 Melaleuca Awards
Power and Water's Melaleuca Awards for Environmental Excellence are open to receive nominations.
This is an opportunity for Territory businesses, schools, community groups and individuals who are re-using, recycling or reducing waste or energy and water consumption to nominate and be recognised for their efforts.
There are six categories: Community, Commercial/Industry, Individual, Small Business, Schools and Environment Grants, as well as the Chairman's Prize.
Category winners (excluding Environment Grants) receive a plaque, a Certificate of Environmental Excellence, $1,000 prize money and a free water audit from Power and Water.
As part of the Awards program, primary and middle school students from across the Territory are being invited to create an A3 poster on biodiversity. There are four categories with the winner of each receiving a $100 book voucher and invitation to the Melaleuca Awards presentation evening where their posters will be showcased. Entries for the school poster competition close Friday 16 April.
To nominate or for more information visit the Power and Water website
